PTO Minutes
Tuesday 3/13/18 6:30pm  

In Attendance

Joy Eidsheim, Sue Cramer, April O’Dell, Kelly Barnett, Kathy Kelly, Toni Josey, Jody Kuzia and Chris Antonicci.

Family Skate

Held 3/6/18 – average attendance.  FUN TIMES!  Pizza made too early, had been sitting around.  Next year charge min. 5.00 each.    Photos ready ASAP by Beltrami.  Add Donation jar at ALL events.

Yearbook

Contract done prior to Toni taking over Yearbook duties.  $26.00/book; UMS charges 15.00  Josten’s consultant fixed for Toni.  Goal 142 books, sold @120; UMS owes 90.00 for not reaching goals. 
Reduce goal 2018-2019 and increase cost to 20.00/book.   Offer online orders only!!  Send link with Teach Conf sign-up sheets.  Promote more photo shares year round.
IDEAS:  Explore other yearbook options?  Ask Beltrami their suggestions/feedback.  Replace yearbook with better FB coverage/blogs?  UMS buys 25 books and sell as First Come First Serve?
Deadline 2 weeks away; pending final photos.

Box Tops

Joy submitted @ 368.10; hoping for @350.00 check.
Work with Sue Cramer to transition duty fully.
Sue joined Facebook group and many schools are down in profits/reduced participation.
Volunteers need to keep this project running smoothly!!

Spring Flower Sale

2017 @ $1000.00 profit.  Typically a huge fundraiser for the PTO.
Orders sent home around 4/16, Order Deadline 5/4,  Reminders sent 5/7.  Deliver 5/11.
Joy to reach out to Claussens and confirm.   
Issues with Dec gift cards?? $25 not 30?

Teacher Appreciation

1st week in May, 5/7 – 5/11.  Gather ideas and discuss April meeting.   Typically spend about $1K; reduce this year due to funds balance.

Financial Report

Asked that Molly be contacted to get Family Skate checks to her ASAP –
Wants better cashflow maintenance.

Miscellaneous Items

Kindergarten Parent Info Night, 5/3
Last day of school (as of now) Monday, 6/18   -- ½ day.
Field Day, currently 6/14.
Champ Game 6/28 7:05p
Marla – artist in Residence research; vendor identified next week.
Toni working on VT Art Council Grant; typical cost @ 5K; budget 6K.
Inquire about other fundraisers – Spaghetti dinner?  Others?
Designate and promote funds to specific events?
